In August 1953, Karl Huber junior registered the company DETAX-Dental Karl Huber in Theodor‑Rehbok-Strasse 5 in Karlsruhe. The function of the company was to manufacture and sell dental preparations. Karl Huber junior was an energetic business owner who had already gathered plenty of experience in the dental market working in his father’s company Favodent. His uncle Emil Huber ran the renowned Emil Huber Dental Depot (now Pluradent) in Karlsruhe. Karl Huber junior also founded the company COLTENE in Altstätten (Switzerland) in the following years.
Karl Huber junior refocused on providing an aerosol filling service. His main client was the traditional company Wolff & Sohn, whose world-famous brand Kaloderma is still a familiar name today. The company also produced large volumes of lighter gas refill ampules for famous brands such as Rowenta, Aral, and Esso.
The increasing use of disposable lighters meant that the demand for aerosols fell dramatically. Karl Huber junior had new business projects in the real estate sector on the Spanish coast and sold the company to the pharmacist Paul Regneri from Emmerich. Paul Regneri was originally an entrepreneur in the pharmaceuticals industry and considered the purchase to be a new challenge.
In Theodor-Rehbock-Strasse, the adjacent piece of land was purchased from Max Maier Metallbau. The polymer injection molding factory then moved into the building located on the new site. This allowed the dental production facilities to expand into the space that became available.
The dental division moved into Roonstrasse 23a in Karlsruhe.
The company Dexter Produits Dentaires Sarl was taken over by Laboratoiries Boehringer Ingelheim, France. DEXTER was established as a distribution company for dental products in France. In the same year, the company moved from Reims to Paris.
In January 1980 the company Molloplast KG Kösnter & Co., Oberursel, was taken over and moved to Karlsruhe. Molloplast had developed products for plasticizing reline materials.
After the death of Paul Regneri in December 1986, DETAX Karl Huber KG was converted to a GmbH & Co KG and his son Peter Regneri took over the management of the company.

Completion of a new building in Ettlingen, Carl-Zeiss-Strasse 4. In the summer, the company moved from Theodor-Rehbock-Strasse and Roonstrasse to Ettlingen.
Sale of the company DEXTER Sarl, France, to the company Dental Emco, France.

In April 2011 Ursula Juretzki-Mangold, Ralf König, and Herbert Schmidt were appointed as additional managing directors.
